Cory Myler, M.A.
Professional Counselor Intern

Cory finished his master's studies in Utah State University's combined clinical/counseling/school program in Spring of 2009.  He plans on finishing his doctoral coursework in Spring of 2010 and leaving for internship that Fall.  Cory has worked on a number of research projects with different USU faculty, including some work on Latino acculturation and step-family education for Latino Families.  His Master's thesis and Doctoral dissertation focused on religiosity and attitudes towards sexual minorities. 

Cory has worked at FINU for over two years, during which time he has led the men's and women's domestic violence group for Latinos, and, through the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) grant, has provided therapy for individual Latina female clients who have experienced abuse or trauma.  Cory has also provided individual and group services at the USU Community Clinic and the USU Campus Counseling Center.  He is also currently working as an advisor with the USU Professional School Guidance Counselor Education Program.

Cory lives in Logan with his wife and two children.  He enjoys spending time with his family in Logan Canyon, reading fiction, and playing music with his band, Armorie.
